About MATEAR
I'm Joaquín, I'm 19, and I'm from Argentina.
How it started
I started selling on Amazon when I was 15, while most of my friends were still figuring out what to do after high school. I learned by doing: listings, photos, shipping, reviews, mistakes, and starting over. That taught me something that is now the foundation of MATEAR: a product that is well made and well explained sells itself.
Why mate
Where I come from, mate isn't a trend, it's part of the day. It's shared with family, friends, coworkers, and out in the countryside. I've been drinking it my whole life, so I know that what matters most is how you cure a gourd, what it's made of, and how you care for it so it lasts for years.
What MATEAR is
MATEAR exists to bring that ritual, the way we live it in Argentina, to people in North America who want to discover it. We work with artisanal mates like calabash, wood, and steel, and each one is chosen with how you'll actually use it in mind.
